The establishment of China Merchants Bank was brought
about by the reformation of China's financial system
in the 80's. China Merchants Bank has emerged as a typical
success of the financial reformation and has a history
of 15 years. The 15 years of reform, innovation and
development have turned China Merchants Bank into a
nation-wide bank and a model of China's growing banking
industry. With a staff of below 0.4% of the banking
population in the country and having less than 0.2%
of the total banking business outlets nation-wide, China
Merchants Bank accounted for approximately 1.6% of the
total profits of the country's banking industry. It
wins renown as the best bank in China and ranks among
the top 300 banks in the globe.
